Arena Hair Studio Norwich Reviews
Despite being male with not much time to spend on my hair - I like to shower, run a hand through it and go- I am really fussy about how it is cut and it usually takes me a long time to learn to trust anyone to cut it, having given them up front and continuous ongoing instructions .In short I am a hairdresser's worst nightmare.
After just a thirty second chat, at Arena I was confident that my needs would be met and in fact my expectations were exceded.
My family and friends actually praised the result rather their usual hesitant placatory hmms, they were, instead, full throttle complimentary! and I am severely pleased too.
The place looks a little humble (there is none of the glitz of 'showcase parlours') but I call that unpretentious and this doesn't reflect the considerable skill present in the place - although there is no trumpet-blowing and the staff are friendly and welcoming and open.
As I say, my 'cutter' understood immediately, what I wanted with the minimum of description and redirection and using their own insight into what would suit my face actually improved upon what I had envisaged.
Not only that, but they put me totally at ease (usually I'm on edge wondering if they've understood and will do the right thing) engaging me in enjoyable conversation ,but with the sensitivity to know when I wanted to 'zone out', and relax with my own thoughts or lack of them.And there was no sense of 'rushing through' which added to the relaxing quality of the whole experience.
I even forgot to mention my dreaded 'Austin Powers' "moley,moley,moley" which lurks under my hairline , thrusting itself out at scissors and then feigning the victim by bleeding profusely.It was not nicked! - a true test of cutting competency in my book which many that have gone before elsewhere have failed.
And the price - so reasonable I thought I'd gone back in time! Certainly very competitive with anything in the area and for the quality of cut I would have happily paid double.
